Deer’s Dance Fine Art Print
Autumn is the time when leaves turn as golden as the sun, when mist blankets the valleys like the breath of a great deer. The shortened days trigger the annual autumn rut of bucks, when they fight one another with striking hooves and bone-hard antlers for the affection of the waiting does. The bucks’ brutal dance is necessary though, as it results in the tender newborn fawns of the following spring.
“Deer ruts when the Season of the Sun transitions into the Season of the Moon,” shares Snoqualmie artist Bethany Fackrell. “This period of transition—autumn—is when Deer celebrates his own courage, displaying his strength amongst his brothers. He celebrates his success when he adds numbers to his herd.” In her Deer’s Dance Fine Art Print, Bethany depicts two strong bucks locked in their age-old dance of power, rising high on their hind legs underneath the double-image of Sun and Moon.
Hang in your office to remind you of your own strength and power, or gift to your favorite dance partner or a person going through their own season of transition, our Deer’s Dance Fine Art Print makes a classic addition to your wall and art collection.

Our Native-designed fine art prints are created in our studio on archival paper. This is one more example of our Native business taking back production so we can further invest in our artists and community!
Known as giclée prints (pronounced “zhe-clay”), our fine art prints are distinguished from mass-produced prints due to their quality, longevity, and value. We print using a state-of-the-art, large-format fine art printer in our Seattle-based art studio. Because they’re printed on acid-free paper, our prints won’t degrade over time, and when displayed out of direct sunlight will maintain their color saturation and fine detail for decades.
